HawkTV - How to help buffering issues

Change Buffer Size:
In HawkTV, go to Settings > Playback > Buffer Size. Change to "None" or "Small" to see if this will give you better performance. (ignore the message at the bottom of the Buffer size screen, it should say "Try decreasing this size...")

Change the stream format to HLS:
In HawkTV, navigate to Settings > Playlists > HawkTV > Xtream Codes parameters > Output Format - It is currently set to MPEG-TS, click on it and select "HLS". Now exit out and confirm you want to "Apply Changes". (This changes the stream from MPEG-TS, potentially reducing buffering by utilizing adaptive bitrate streaming, though it may take a few seconds longer to initiate)

ClearCache / Force Stop:
In your device settings go into apps or applications and find the HawkTV or ClearChoice app and click on it. In there click on clear cache, force stop, and launch or open. This will close out the app and restart it fresh. (perform this step regularly)

Restart Device:
- To restart your Fire TV Stick, simply press and hold the "Select" (middle button on the remote) and "Play/Pause" buttons simultaneously for about 5-10 seconds.
- To restart an Android device, go to the Google TV home screen. Select the "Settings" gear icon, Navigate to "System", Choose "Restart", Confirm the restart.

Reboot your modem / router / device in that order:
Simply unplug them for 2-5 minutes, then plug it back in. This will reset the Internet / WIFI and device and usually does the trick with a number of issues.

Reduce Background Processes:
Close other apps to free up RAM. You can get the app  "Background Apps and Process List" to ensure your device isn't overloaded.

Use a VPN: Try using this VPN to test if this will resolve the buffering issue.
Open up the Downloader app and enter the shortcode for the PIA VPN: 8570249
Click on Download and Install and then go back to Downloader and delete the download files.
Next open up the PIA VPN app and enter the credentials below.
Username: 1234
Password: 2236
Once you're in the PIA VPN click on "Connect" on any city, then leave the VPN running.
Navigate back and login to HawkTV and click on any channel and see if it plays. If it doesn't go back to PIA VPN and choose a different city. Continue doing this until you find a City that works.

Reset your device to factory settings and reinstall the HawkSuite apps:
- To factory reset a Google ONN streaming device, navigate to Settings > System > About > Factory Reset and confirm. For a tablet, go to Settings > System > Reset options > Erase all data (factory reset).
- To factory reset a Firestick, navigate to Settings > My Fire TV > Reset to Factory Defaults. This action erases all apps, data, and personal settings, returning it to its original state.

Firestick: https://webwizardhosting.com/index.php/knowledgebase/61/Firestick---HawkSuite-Install-Login-and-Remote-Guide.html

Note on HawkTV connections:
If you are using over your allowed number of connections, there will be a tremendous amount of buffering. (Ex: You have a 3 connection subscription and you're logged into 4 devices, the system will allow the logins, but then buffer so bad that it is unwatchable.)
